Grabbing Buffer

Well I haven't used a buffing wheel in quite a few years, but I did today. Polishing a thimble with some silver in it. I was just going to stop when "Wing!!" it grabbed the wheel, and it's lost in the work room. It'll take me a week to find it.   ...Geo.

 At least it was only the thimble that went flying and it landed some where other than your bod. I have had bad experiences with both a buffer and a drill press.

Smallpatch I found your Patchbox!!!!!!!

 My dog found it in the woods in PA.  I tried to grab it for you but he ran off too quick and came home without it!!!!  ;D

I just got some new buffing wheels from Grizzly the white soft and yellow hard ones. Tryed them out tonight and they don't seem to grab as bad as the old fashioned ones I was using.

Ah yes ..... the drill press trick.  Don't you just love it when you decide to drill a "small" hole (and of course you know in your heart you can hang onto the stock with such a little drill bit) so you don't need to bother with the clamps or jigs.  And then it grabs, rips it's way through your fingers, spins around and smacks you in the ribs, bends the bit, and messes up the hole.  :'(

And you swear you will never do that again - until the next time!  :P

I've only had that happen when I'm drilling 1/16" holes in a trigger plate for the trigger, being just a little to close.   ...Geo.
