I have a flint rifle with J. Henry, Phila. stamped on the top flat.  The rifle has a nice engraved patchbox and a Drepert lock.  In reviewing the books, I note there were quite a few Henrys building Kentuckies.  There was a J. Henry associated with Lancaster, a J. J. Henry, etc.  Is anyone familiar with the J. Henry that worked out of Philadelphia.  I recall reading where the Drepert locks were made in Lancaster.  Is that correct? Anyone know what period of years?

John Joesph Henry worked in Philly from 1807-1822, when he moved back to Boulton.  A lot of his early guns of that period are marked 'J Henry' as opposed to 'JJ Henry'.  James Henry started working with his father in 1831 and took over the company in 1836.  Most of the stuff after that was marked 'J Henry Boulton', but I suspect there was some using up of old parts and stamps so neither changeover was not likely a straight switch on the date.  It suggests you have a pretty early Henry piece.  I hope you'll consider adding photos of it to the virtual museum here.  We have a fine example of Abraham Henry's work, but not John Joseph's.  Abraham worked with JJ in Philly until they parted ways in 1822.

I'm sure Sean is on the mark.  Henry out of Boulton after Phila.   We are lucky enough to shoot at 'Jacobsburg' each June and Oct at the old original homestead of the Henry family along the historic Bushkill creek.   :)
