Some Hall Rifle parts castings are available through Track or the Rifle Shoppe.

The Hall rifle is a tractor and the longrifle is a Porche.  How do you aim it?

Taylor just from looking at the pictures I think the sightline is actually along the left side of the barrel on the hall rifle if you look closely you can see the fron t sight is way of center....

Yep, the sights are quite offset on the originals I saw 2-3 yrs ago at the Tulsa Gun Show.  They were famous for leaking breeches, a fact that I witnessed at Ben's Fort back in the 80s.  There were some dragoon reenactors there that were shooting originals & you could see them "spit" with every shot.  The breech, that is.

I saw a longrifle with this lock/action at the CLA show in Lexington last year. I spoke with the maker and he graciously allowed me to photograph the piece.  Nice fellow.  I believe he said he made all the components himself.  Unfortunately, I cannot remember his name....  maybe it was Mr. Valentine.

Yes, the fellow at the CLA show was Joe Valentine.  He also makes absolutely dandy european style powder flasks.  He's a retired dentist and excellent with his hands to say nothing about the fact that he's a really nice guy.  Sometimes he teaches classes at the NMLRA seminars.
