Draw filing and the touch hole
« on: September 16, 2017, 01:33:00 AM »
Working on my Kibler kit and am draw filing the barrel. When I turned the barrel in the vise to file that flat I was looking at the empty hole and wondering what I should do on that particular flat of the barrel? Put the liner in or not? Thanks

Yes, I'd put the liner in.  You're going to have to file the liner flush with the barrel flat, then draw file anyway, no need to do it twice.

I will mention this now in case you need it. I almost always drill the touch hole out to .0625 (1/16"). They come with a smaller touch hole that is mainly for target shooters. You might want to try it without drilling it out larger but I think I get much more reliability from the larger touch hole.
