No problem as long as there are no modern guns involved. Always like to see hunting photos involving sidelock muzzleloaders made before 1860 or replicas of same.

That attempt turned nasty pretty quick. Let's try again.

My only turkey kill last year.

This bobcat was killed - along with another one - in the mid 1960s. The skin is in rough shape, and the pictured rifle which killed them, has the forend installed back on. Maybe they'll post this time but I'm not hopeful.

Yes it posted this time but sorry I removed it due to the underhammer not meeting ALR rules. If you want to edit out the underhammer and repost it should be ok.

Jim Parker transitional, 31"x .58 Rice radius bottom rifling, 3 drams 2fg Goex, ticking patched .570 ball, bear grease lube. Shot was at 40 yards and he ran maybe 25 yards before dropping.

2011 Virginia .562 PRB over 100gr Goex fffg, first week on MLer season and turkey was still in season. The longbeard was taken the day after the buck.

First year going after the tree rats with a rocklock.

Nice .32 Southern Mountain rifle I got from a forum member here.You really don't realize how modern guns have spoiled ya until ya do it the old way!Been at it all month but really enjoying it.Hope to have tons more pics of critters with all my guns before the end of May of next year.

Hunting with a flintlock has brought back the challenge of hunting for me, and instills more of a sense of satisfaction when successful.

That's a beautiful rifle and a nice batch of squirrels.

Pennsylvania regular firearms season 2016

Not exactly a wall hanger, but it was a looooong shot, very steep downhill. I aimed at the top of the back/neck junction, and the ball hit there, clipped the spine, and dropped out on the floor when I pulled the hide down over the brisket. It was round enough to shoot again! Contrast that with the severely flattened ball from the 2016 Virginia buck, and its obvious how much velocity the ball had shed.

I agree 100%! I normally limit out everytime with squirrels (4 is limit for us),sometimes in as little as 30 min.This has really put the challenge back into it.

Great deer!I'll be down to camp in PA(Unit 2G) for flintlock if I don't fill my bow tag next month.Had good luck last year during Jan.

Switched from a .32 cap lock to a .30 flint this year. Its been rough, but I'm starting to get the hang of it.
