William Moore was a name found frequently on inexpensive hardware store grade shotguns like this one, usually made in Belgium.  I don't really know much about it other than the gun itself is not special.  The eagle on the buttplate would have been added by an owner sometime in its history.  Nothing to do with its original manufacturing.  If you had the story of how that eagle found its way there, that might be special.

The eagle looks like a US Army eagle, maybe the emblem from an army officer's cap.

It depends on the proof marks.  If English, then:

William Moore & Co., London
Gunmakers at 43 Old Bond St. from 1854 to 1872.  Became Wm. Moore & Grey in 1873, and a Limited Company from 1879.  They moved to 165 Piccadilly in 1896.

Wm. Moore was appointed gunmaker to King William IV in April, 1836.

Yes, but that's not a London, or even Birmingham quality gun.  Not trying to diss the gun, just not in that category, and wouldn't want the OP to get his hopes up.  I'll bet you a dollar to donut it has Liege proofs.
