Kentucky 8 point buck

Kentucky 8 point buck.

50 cal mountain rifle.
90gr FFFG and .480 round ball.

As said before, nice deer and nice rifle.  A .480 ball is certainly undersized from the more common .495 and .490 balls most people shoot in a .50 caliber rifle.  What patch thickness do you use to make that work out?  Thanks.

My patching is .015. last year I used .490 and loading was not easy. Loading after even one shot was very difficult.
SO I dropped down to .480...It works.
Loading after shooting is still very firm, not easy.
I figure I have a slightly small bore size.
