Where to get powder?

I've checked every gun store within a 40 mile radius, including Walmart and Rural King and nobody stocks Black Powder. A few have Pyrodex, but not many. Where are you guys getting your Powder from? I live in Souther Indiana.

Order it from. A distributor listed in the back of muzzleblasts. You will pay a hazmat charge, but that’s life.

Yep. Ordering is the only way to go. Even after paying hazmat and shipping its still cheaper than in store prices. At least if you order 10 or more lbs. The last retail store price i saw was around $25 per lb.

I'm in the same boat.  Our muzzleloading club makes a group purchase of 25 or 50 pounds from Grafs to minimize the hazmat fee per pound.

Another vote for Graf's.

I was able to negate the hazmat charge by visiting their store in person on one of my trips home from a job.

However upon doing the math I probably didn't save much with the extra driving. It wasn't a great deal out if my way. But it still added to my overall cost to buy the powder.

I believe they will let you order as little as 4 lbs. But with the hazmat fee you won't save that much buying small quantities.

Only 2 members at that club?  Most of us buy 25 pounds at a time.  That way, if we don't shoot much, we have powder for 2 years. With a really cold winter, might last 3.
