Wyoduster,
Seller's (American Gunsmiths) lists "Daniel Turney Hawken (1814-1853), Piqua, Ohio, 1838-1850; Springfield, Ohio, 1850-1853".

I have a friend with a DT Hawken who lives in Springfield. DT Hawken, I am told, was a nephew of Sam and Jake. The one I'm familiar with is a little half stock that is pretty nicely made. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Page 206 Volume III " Ohio Gunsmiths & Allied Tradesmen" ,
has an advertisement for J & D.T Hawken 1838. Basically informing the community of Piqua that John & Daniel Hawken would be making and repairing gun ,across from Schwartz'z Tavern.
"The Hawken brothers probably set up shop in Piqua because of the canal. John had been in Logan County previously. Both had worked in Springfield , Clark County , where Dan died in 1853. John was still in the county in 1847."
