Seek info. on flintlock rifle made by A. Lamb.  Silver inlays and brass trigger guard and butt plate.  46 in. barrel is small cal.  Rifle belonged to relatives of A. Lamb until the mid 1980s.  Super condition, except missing front sight which was held in place by a SINGLE DOVETAIL.  All help appreciated.  SKB

SKB - there is a fine Anderson Lamb half stock rifle shown in this website in the "ALR Virtual Museum" under "Southern Exhibits" and there is a very detailed writeup on him and his gunsmithing operations.  He worked in Guilford County (Jamestown) North Carolina and was a prolific maker.  A fullstock flint rifle by him would be wonderful to see as it would presumably be something made relatively early in his career - if you can post photos, I am sure several of the folks on here who are knowledgable about North Carolina guns will have some added thoughts.

Michael Briggs has some good info in his books about A. Lamb,  The homemade books are cheap & very informative with lots of photos.
