Old English Fowler?

A friend brought an old flintlock fowler to trap today.  It has a broken hammer, a date of 1817 written on the stock along with some names.  I took a couple quick picture in direct sun light.  I can also get more if anyone is interested...tippit

The gun is a military piece and not a fowler.

It is a musket, lock is german Potzdam and I see english proof marks on the barrel also the stock looks like a india pattern brown bess to me.

The barrel has several marks that I am unfamiliar with.  There is one British looking mark but normally there would be 2, view and proofing.  There is also the crown over "S".  That may be a government mark from one of the Germanic states. The others, I have no idea.  I suspect the gun was cobbled together from old German and British military parts.
