So it just occured to me. We almost idolize a lot of american gunsmiths and their beautiful work, and we try to get into their minds on how or why they did something on a gun. We think "if only they could tell us...". I bet some wouldn't though, I'm sure some of them were real jerks! I'm gonna get struck down by lightning, or my shop is gonna catch fire, but Kuntz might not have been the nice guy we like to think
I LIKE to think the well used French pistol I have from the 1760's-70's was carried by a gentleman who "fought with honor"... but it might have been carried by a guy not too dissimilar from Tavington in The Patriot

Now, so disaster doesn't fall upon me... I'll say that Kuntz was probably one of the nice guys.
Cody... It takes an artistic mind and a lot of skill just to attempt to recreate a Kuntz or Rupp Jr. An outright bench copy would still be a work of art and tremendous skill. The carving and engraving you're doing is nothing short of masterful.
