Shiny Permylin finish?

 I usually make a satin or oil type finish using permylin, but want a shinny, varnish look on my new build. When I tried this once before I got runs. Suggestions?

The sealer is a little thinner, have you tried only using that?

Depends on how shiney you want it, but if you rub it in and then let it dry it will be a little shiny.  You wont get any runs that way.

 I don’t see how you can get runs in the finish if you rub it in, so I assume you are applying it with a brush. Try rubbing it in like BLO, or True oil.

If you use the regular finish (not the sealer) and rub a little in with your finger tips, it'll start getting shiney.  After multiple coats, it'll be downright glossy.

I did that on my Lancaster build, a little on the finger tip, rub until it got warm and started get tacky, wait wait till dry, reapply.  After about 10 or so super thin coats, it positively glowed.

I have hand rubbed it and air brushed it to arrive at a shiny finish.  Nice stuff.  Regardless of the method, don't put too much on at once.  Patience is the watch word.

I've been wondering if air brushing would work with that stuff.  Do you use one of those small pen ones?
