I have #330 a 20 gauge fowler. Very light and nimble gun.

Pics come up for me. Eagle's wire inlay is just a few simple straight accent lines, no big deal. No chance I'll be able to keep this one, but I'd like to build one for myself one day!

Very high -end clean work Mike.  Just the sort of thing I'd expect of you!
Going to be a fantastic rifle when finished.  I look forward to seeing  it completed!!

Tore tendon in my shoulder. Knew I had. went to see doc. she sent me for ultrasound. took 6 months.  Told me what I'd done. Told them I Knew that when I did it! (Popeye effect) sent to specialist.  Asked me why I didn't come see him right away. Could take a year now to not get right. Never had any treatment on it as I'm on my own on farm most of time and can't be having a wing taped up ...

I filed a groove into the pipe to solder the silver into then filed the silver to shape.

I had early muzzleloader. Spent the entire season in a tractor hauling corn. Never even loaded my gun. No big deal, I have deer still in the freezer form last year.

Looks like that's going to be a fine looking gun Mike.You mention it was hard for you to make the adjustment from early to late period.Was the difference that much,size,what are some of the biggest differences?

Yes, in part. The breech is only 7/8" yet the wrist is 1 5/8" tall. I don't even leave a wrist that tall on a gun with an 1 1/8" breech. I haven't built a gun with less than a 1" breech in probably decades. Than you add in a 1 3/8" buttplate and a 1 1/4" wrist width and I was in uncharted territory! It's been fun to build, just a bit of head scratching from time to time.

Late to the party, looking great, Mike.  When I first looked at the photos, I was drawn to the wrist area, and thought how "right" that whole area looked.  I was relieved when I read how you were in somewhat uncharted waters..., those tall wrists are a real challenge for me.  Looking forward to seeing the finished piece.
