I like it. To me, rustic and plain is always cool. The long barrel/sight radius ought to make it a good shooter. Is that a Bailes lock?
I like it! How's it shoot? Curious about the grip..a bit different than most. What caliber?? I have not been able to shoot it yet. The extreme turn of the grip helps it balance for me. The grip is also tapered wider at the bottom. it is a .36Cory Joe StewartProductive way to spend your break!
I see you liked it so much you made a left hand version. See the last photo. Ken
I might have to make one of these. Might be able to use a rifle twist rate with a barrel that long! . Did you use a piece of rifle barrel?
Cory Joe, that thing is giving me all sorts of ideas...nice! I can see the backstory in my mind...mountaineer had a senior moment, short started a ball, and blew/bulged his rifle barrel...resulting in the parts for a long barreled pistol...Greg
I like it very much. I really like the cane handled stock. Since I built a Gillespie rifle, I would like to build a pistol like this to go with it. I hope you don't mind if I add your pictures to my library.
