Looks great to me Norm!

Thanks Mike!

As predicted, I screwed up the dovetail !!.

I went to upset the front edge.  Got a small upset, then my cold chisel slipped and grazed a small bit off the top of the dovetail on the top flat of the barrel.  Oops.
Sight still fits nice and tight, but there is no upset, and a small shaving of metal missing off the top flat just in front of the sight.  I suspect some clever filing and sanding will smooth it out and only gun builders will notice.
Disappointing!

Norm

Norm,
Looks very good and will look good on the rifle. Excellent thread for others to try their hand at making their own sites. Hope you are feeling better, even from the damage you did making this site!
