Southern horn and bag

This is a copy of my Great GrandPa’s hunting bag and power horn. He was born in south west Virginia (WV) in 1847. The bag is made of goat with the hair left on. The flap on the original was torn and mauled but I think TC Albert reconstructed mine to look it did when new. Even the color hair is a match. The horn has a bulbous plug with hob nails around the base. Very folksy .

Very nice work, it really does capture the spirit and essence of many surviving antique bags.
Are there any photos of the original you could share if you have the interest?
Thanks

Fine looking rig, and the family connection really makes it special. My great-grandpa’s rifles and shotguns went down through the other side of the family. I wound up with his old forge and anvil, and just got them up and running again.

I like both the bag and the horn. That horn is especially neat. Well done. God Bless, Marc
