Only way I know for a .590" ball, is to have Jeff Tanner make you a mould.
I have 4 Tanner moulds - maybe 5?
They normally take less than 2 weeks (1 week for me, close to the left coast of BC).
Payment is made to an address in Cal. (or used to be)

I bought a great .590" mould from Ray Rapine before he retired.  It casts perfectly round balls with a very slight tangental sprue cut off.

I think I used paypal to pay him.  And not only .590", but also 588, 589, 591, 592, 593,...

Just whatever diameter you care for.  They are brass.  Never yet heard of an unsatisfied customer.

Eddie May of GA hasn't been mentioned (No offense Curt  ;) ).  He might be another ready-made ball source. I've never seen his "list". His contact info is on here somewhere.  But Curt's info is right there and I'd get some from him if I wanted ready-mades.

Larry Callahan's bagmolds can be made to order also in any size to the thousandth.  I'll be ordering another oddball size from him for a .42 cal rifle I'll be getting later this year.

I ordered a .590" mold from Jeff Tanner some four or more years ago.  These are quality molds and drops ball of great uniformity.  There's no sprue cutter but it's easy to remove the sprues.

Of course they can, but then last I checked-there's an upcharge for "non-standard" cals from Mr. Callahan.

Not so with Mr. Tanner.

True, but I consider it more of a price break on common sizes for what Larry makes.  I can pick up orders from Larry at the CLA show, also...how much is the shipping from England?  I'm sure the Tanner molds are still cheaper, and excellent, especially if you want to use the big wood handles from Lyman, Lee, etc....All depends how traditional a mold you want, too.  Choices are good!

When last I ordered a Tanner mold the price was surprisingly cheap.  Checked fairly recently and the prices have gone up.  They are still a bargain IMO.

I have been playing with a 60 caliber round ball rifle and up until I ordered some larger balls from Track of the Wolf, have been shooting .57 R\B's that I had on hand.

My accuracy with the .57's has been on paper out to 40 yards but I was all over the place until I started double patching .20 thick patches.  Still not real thrilled with my results!

All Track had for a 60 caliber was either a .58 or a .595 ball in their inventory, so I just ordered a batch of each to try.    Once I figure out what my new rifle shoots best with, I will order a mold.

Trouble with these odd calibers is that you dare not do any sight adjustments until you have the proper shooting materials on hand to experiment with.

Jose - With a .60 cal. rifle, that is a .600" bore diameter, the very first size I would try, is a .595" ball along with a 10 ounce denim patch that I measure at .022".

I got a .590 from Mr. Callahan at Lexinton a few years ago. Casts really good rounds for a bag mold.

I use a Jeff Tanner .586 mold for my 60 cal rifle. He makes what ever size you want.
