Plesase post the video pictures that you e mailed me of the lock sparking with your hand cut flints. I am sure all ther ALR will enjoy seeing them. Adrie picked up a flint rock that he found in some one's garden, chipped a piece for his hand made miniature lock and it worked perfectly.

It took a while because my camera was broken, that is why I had always bad pictures.
I hope it will be better in the future.

I will share the story on ALR:
In the past I bought flint stones from a black powder dealer, but I had to make them small.
I have broken three stones and I couldn't use any piece.
Later on I bought a diamandsaw and that worked good.
A few days ago we made a walk in the neighborhood and guess what I saw in the garden of a far neighbor?
A big flintrock!!! I said to Gonny my wife , look, look. She said you can always ask if you may have that rock.
I walked back and ringed on the door and told the man what I saw.
He said if you want that rock, take it, I have rocks enough. And.......it works very well and I can cut small slices of it.
The flintrock works well!
