Well this thing is fast approaching its 2 yr anniversary but hopefully it won't be too much longer to completion. Here's what I been doing lately.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's an Eister (or Altland, or whatever). Looks great whatever it is.

Yes definitely Eister inspired, with a touch of Kibler

BarryE that's is one of the Eisters I was able to see and refer to. You don't have any add'l pix of it, do you? I'm always trying to expand my reference materials.

Taylor, that's funny, because I sometimes get ahead of myself laying out the pattern and planning the incised vs relief. I'm still debating a couple little spots on this one.

Looks like an Eister to me, not often done these days. Nice to see folks drifting towards this era of gun, gives talented folks more canvas to show off their skills.

But seriously, thanks for the compliments. It means a lot especially coming from people whose work I really respect.
Not only have I wanted to try an Eister style rifle for a long time, but this is also the first rifle I have made for myself since Number One in 1978. I won't be posted any pictures of that one anytime soon.
