Downloaded the target that Steven V shot.  Hope to make use of it shortly.  And yes, the "X" is off-center.

Who cares where in the "X"ring the "X" is printed?  Remove the "X" with the first or second ball...there, that's better.

Fired at the target today.  Didn't really matter where the "X" was though!  I'd score it (attached below) as 33-0X.

Let me solve the "X mystery". :)

When i made the target in Open Office Draw I did the numbers and the X across one text box.  It's the whole text box that's slightly off.

I'm alibiing with 71 year and 355 days old eyes.

There's nothing wrong with the target.  From 25 yards, No one can see the letter "X" on the bull anyway, I submit!

The X in the bullseye does not matter at all - I was just joshing about it not being in the exact centre - it matters not.

I am going to have to bail out on this and the next couple month's postal shoots.  Looks like a whale of a good time, and some good joshing amongst competitors.

But, going to be laid up for about 3-4 months.  My heart will be with all of you - hoping to see some 5-X targets posted.

Five shots at 25 yards with a 12 gauge ... something like 475 pellets per shot x 5...should give a decent group.  But how to score it?

Not many targets posted. I shot this on  21 July. Started out pretty good. Being a cheap SOB, I was trying to squeeze all the life I could from my flint. On my fifth shot I had a kletch. I looked at my flint and it still looked and felt sharp. But I needed to move it forward. Just as this happened the RO called a two minute warning. I loosened the jaw and realigned my flint. Mind you I  had already shot close to thirty shots with this flint. So I get on target squeeze and kletch---Boom. Long story short three tens a nine and Maggie's drawers. A 39, O well.

Alcran, Taylor and I shot the postal match today as well. I also shot a 39 with 4 of my shots. LOL I think Taylor has the targets.

Daryl and I went out yesterday and shot the postal match.  My only comment:  we both need to practice a lot more paper target shooting.  This is not as easy as I thought it would be, and no where near what it was fifty years ago!!  Here's our targets, and the rifles we used to do it.

I shot a 49 2X after this one, but this is the one I called for score.

Taylor I found that small target to be a real strain. The harsh white background glares in the Arizona sun. Might print it on some tan paper next time.

That's enough fooling around with scratch locks. I'm going to use my

cap gun next time - might not be for a while, though.
