Mauser - here is a pic of my shop - guess what is the most used piece of equipment?  If you were to tell me I could keep just one piece - the bandsaw would be it.  It is a very versatile piece of equipment for everything from woodworking to home improvement and of course gun building.  And as Nate mentioned earlier - try and get a floor model if possible or if a benchtop, one with a good heavy cast table.  I have a Grizzly 17" for about 10 yrs. .  Cuts straight and square, great saw for the money.  One useful tip if you do get one - when you are not using it, relax the blade.  The rubber tires on the wheels will last a lot longer if you do this.
