;) ;) ... thanx for the photos, Chris,... appreciate the pix of himself and others, too,... I find the research and history of these old Tennessee makers as fascinating as the guns themselves,... will be going around with some friends, who know Unicoi Co. rifles, to visit some sites where gunsmiths there worked in the 1800's, this fall,...keep posting this stuff,.... it's interesting,.... regards,... I’m kind of disappointed that this pistol does’nt have any of the saw toothed iron fittings shown on Tenn. mountain rifles attributed to him. Seeing the barrel stamping on this pistol makes me think he may not have made those beautiful rifles.

Hmmmm, I don't know.  I have not seen the 'saw tooth' rifles attributed to him.  Any photos?

That’s the one. A couple of people here thought Bible built these intrusting rifles.

What proof do they have of that?  I sure would not mind if it turns out he did make the rifle but I see nothing that leads me to believe that.  Sure would like to know what they are basing that assumption on.

Here are a few photos of my "Saw Tooth" Elbert bible rifle.  It has a 48 inch long barrel.
