Basic shot snake

Devices I needed a shot snake so put one together this weekend. I’m at the utilitarian stage of leatherwork but enjoying it.

Great Rich! How much will it hold? Would like to see how you are going to strap it.

Here you go, Tim. I think it holds a cup of birdshot.

Thanks, I like that, may try one. Is the stopper a Cloths Pin type?
I am still researching how the average/common man carried his bird shot. Horn, Shot Snake, flask, Gourd, Bottle, Wal-Mart bag, etc...

Wal Mart bags are single use. I like the gourd idea. On this one I used a cork for a stopper. In planning this one I put myself in the place of a commoner a little short on cash, who obviously knew what a proper shot snake looked like and how they worked, and decided to make something close, essentially for free.
