Learning hammer and chisel engraving

Ok, I'm getting fairly good at building, carving, and finishing 18th century longrifles.  BUT, to say my engraving is rudimentary, would be an understatement.
Where does a guy go to get some real, hands on engraving instruction?
My technique just sucks, and I'd love to learn to be at least mediocre.
Any help?

Tom Curran (Acer) is teaching an engraving class at the Southern Ohio workshop in September. Read the sticky note at the top of this forum.
There may still be spots available. If not, there is often an engraving class at the WKU gunsmithing seminar in June. Class listings for that should be out sometime around November if I remember right.

Unfortunately Tom Curran's classes scheduled for this Sept at the Southern Ohio workshop where just cancelled this week because of an illness preventing Tom from conducting them.  Let's hope Tom's recovery is speedy and complete.  Maryellen Pratt notified all of us enrolled that there may be rescheduling for a future date.  If not, let's hope the WKU gun smithing seminar has an engraving class this June.

I saw Chuck's work at the CLA. He's probably now one of the best out there.

There are many engravers who teach, but it depends on several factors:
1  Where do you live?
2  How far are you willing to travel?
3  How much are you willing to pay?

Muzzleloading engraving is a fairly limited field, but most professional gun or knife engravers cover a wider range.
