I've done somewhere near 30 of these now. This one has a very nice English walnut stock. Hoyt 20 bore barrel 47 3/8" long. Davis lock, home made sheet brass mounts. 6lbs.

I had the opportunity to handle  this NC trade gun at the CLA.  You cannot  believe how well balanced and light this smoothbore in hand. Easy to understand why a person traveling on foot really like these weapons. Tim

Yes, you wounded yourself deeply at the CLA, nothing like a self inflicted wound! :P I sold this one yesterday, so you can't wound yourself again. ;)

   Stoner I guess I missed your wounding.  Couldn't have been a gun buying wound could it ? Which in two cases I should have bought one in particular..!

Yes, nailed on, as is the thumbpiece. I never ran into at Lexington, maybe next year. Or maybe I did and I have a poor memory... ???

I found that Carolina gun brass sight on a trade blanket back in the early 80's up in Wisconsin. I have been getting it sand cast ever since for my Carolina guns.
