I think Reading, but welcome more knowledgeable opinions. I think it is finding a new home right here in Troutville.
Bought a new Subaru today. Might as well celebrate with a new rifle

Don, you’re rolling in it!  Really love that style of lock.  Great that it’s unaltered.  Sure seems Reading area to me.

Hi,
Kindig thought G. Feder had some connection with Peter Angstad of Berks county.  Hornberger and Kindig (III) show a George Feder rifle in their book "Masterpieces of the American Longrifle" and list him as from Berks County with the gun dated 1815.

Don,

Lancaster - Berks, he was on the border there with the Pannabeckers. The barrels most likely a Pannabecker. I had a nice one that's in the Library, there were 2 of them Senior and Junior. Senior signed the barrels Junior stamped the barrels (typically). Nice rifle.

Neat rifle, thanks for sharing. Curious, when do we typically see (time period) the divided side plates on patch boxes in that area?

Matt,

There's an "Early Peter Gonter" in Thoughts (Kindig), He thought the last decade of the 18th Century.
