1st Trail This Season
« on: May 16, 2021, 11:57:41 PM »
Sorry for the fuzzy picture.
Taylor has just posted the tie breaker that we shoot from 25 yards.
You can sort of see an image to the left of him- it's a gopher with a 10 ring.
He cut the 10 ring and I was close to an inch low.
I did enlarge it a little bit, Not a huge target. He kept the targets - maybe he will post them.
Interesting - I didn't take any more pictures. We made about 35 shots as that was all the .69's
I took with us. I had trouble with the long targets this time - he didn't, hitting every one of them
with the new .60 bl. on his Virginia rifle. He just picked a load that we knew would work - it does.
The white fox on the right hand side is a pistol target.

We've never seen ticks on the trail (that I know of). Mosquitoes were/are just starting to be a pest.
That is not to say we don't have ticks as we most certainly do. They are horrid on moose health. Speaking
of which, were were fresh tracks on the trail, both cow and a big bull - 2 different areas on the trail, maybe
1/4 to 1/2 km apart.
