The oldest gun I have that I've used Fiebings on is my plain maple fowler, built early in 2009. If anything, it's gotten a little darker.



That's still a nice looking piece. Plain maple for sure.....but I still see the red hue in the finish. I like it!!

My plan with my Leman is to not only shoot\hunt with it, but to display it above the fireplace in my living room. My LV is very bright from outdoor light, but the mantel is not subject to direct sunlight.

What I will now do is take the scrap piece (providing I like the outcome) and finish it the same as the gunstock. Then I'll just put the scrap finished piece on the fireplace mantel and let it sit there for a year......then compare.   ;)
