I have a rifle which is attributed to Mr.Evick. Does anyone have any good information on him or a picture of a signed rifle? This rifle has been road hard and put away wet. Was most likely built as a flint, but has been shortened ,converted to percussion, lock changed to single screw.Origional two screw side plate still there and stock has not been plugged. Lock missing some guts.

Reply to Dave  I can take some pictures and send straight to you, ether thru email or by text. Don't have knowhow to post to this program. Don't know how good they would show up as the rifle is very dirty, has not been cleaned in about 100 years or so.

George, If it hasn't been cleaned in a hundred years, please Don't clean it now!

Pictures are easy to post here, but if you'd rather, send them to Dave or to Ky-Flinter, or even me, to post them for you.
Uncleaned, original rifles are a real treat to see!

George, I sent you a PM with my cell number. Be sure to put your name and ALR or something so I know its your pictures. Otherwise I don't open texts unless I know who it is.
Looking forward to them, and thanks for offering to show the gun here!

My public thanks to John for posting my "cell phone", less than perfect pictures. There are several more I hope John will post .
I believe this rifle was a longer flint swamped barrel gun when built.
Barrel is 33 5/8 long, .880 at muzzle. .953 just ahead of drum.
nose cap is for a larger barrel as if the muzzle was originally wider
Overall length is 49 inches
Tang screw is hand made.(hand hammered round and slot is off center)
None of original barrel key slots are used, but two barrel pins are intact.
The other pictures will show the lock(single screw and incomplete)

This  is truly a "Barn Find" which I may just leave as found.
