Just wanted to show you what determination and fidelity to purpose can do for you erstwhile gun builders.  Bit heavy for a squirrel rifle, but........

Now THAT'S an offhand rifle!  Imagine what Roger wouold do with such an Acurate piece! probably head out for medical attention!

That's a very nice specialized rifle - my idea of what a bench gun should look like!

Caliber?  LARGE, but nothing y'all haven't shot before. What is different mebbe is the amount of lead it chucks down range.  If I recall correctly it uses an 800 grain bullet.



It belongs to one of the members here, maybe he'll chime in on the specifics.



A few days ago it fired a 30 shot string of 31.282"........at 200 yards.  By the way, it has a home made scope as well.  Don't confuse "home made" with amateur.

That's a good looking bench rifle to say the least.  Thanks for the pics.

That's also a nice looking range you're shooting at!  Someone gave it some thought when laying it out.  The benches look like concrete on pipe legs but those swivel seats are the ticket. They'd even accomodate someone in a wheelchair.  Most of the shooting benches in our area are something you have to climb over or into to sit down..if they even provide seats.

As short as it looks it would be a great "Brush" rifle for hunting .... Not!
Interesting to know the cal. ,the length, and total weight of the gun

It's .50 caliber, somewhere around 35-40 pounds if memory serves.  Went up to Cody last week for an NRC/WSU shoot and this was one of 3 or 4 slug guns on the line.  Several picket rifles too. Heck of a good time and fine people too.  Those guns shake your innards when they go off under a covered line.

Been busy the last few days but will get back tomorrow with a picture of the bullet.  It's two piece swagged and a work of art.
