Opinions about Ed Parry of Blackhartarms????

Ed seems like a good guy. Does anyone here have experience with his guns?

Under the "Custom options" section on his webs site, he says he will give you the emails of some recent customers upon request.  Might try that.

A friend of mine owns one of Ed’s longrifles. He asked me to examine it when he considered purchasing it. I looked it over, and found nothing to complain about. The only changes he has made to the gun are strictly personal preferences. It a beautiful gun that has the best balance of any longrifle I’ve ever shot.

I had Ed do a Hawken squirrel rifle for me from a Stith kit.  Fit & finish are A1 & Ed is a great guy to work with.  I'm sending him another pile of parts in the next few days.  You can look for him on an up-coming Master at Arms show on History.

I purchased second hand a JP Beck rifle he built.  .54 cal and a real horse of a gun.  Very nice piece and I’m proud to display it on my wall as well as take it to the range.

 I know Ed fairly well.  I wouldn't hesitate to have Ed build me a gun.  His guns have great fit and finish, they are historically correct, and his engraving is wonderful. I started to work with Ed for a very short time - I only stopped because I had some personal issues come up.  Anyway, I've been to hs shop and watched him work - you won't be sorry with one of his guns.  I got to look at and hold a fowler that he built that was presented to Dale Earnhardt Jr. that was outstanding.
