Rework project

Too good of a deal to pass up so now I have a project to keep me entertained...
Unfired 62/20 iron mounted smoothbore with a 36" barrel, really nice walnut stock with Clorox/cold blue 'aged' finish.
It basically looks like someone got close enough to call it good or just ran out of patience. Fit is for the most part there but could stand some work. The aged finish pretty much speaks for itself...
It fits me perfect when shouldering it so when it comes out the other side, it will hopefully be a nice, but simple, smoothbore that isn't afraid to go in to the woods.

The Clorox job looks to have been a really fast one so their is very little etching. Time will tell...

I bet it will be OK. 

I never understood the clorox fad.  It never looks real to me.  If one was portraying a historical character the gun he carried would be contemporary to the character, not 200 years old and neglected.

I did a fast clorox job on a rifle once, just got impatient. Didn't get hardly any etching but the steel came out a real nice soft gray finish. Oiled it good and left it alone, looks pretty nice and a little different.
