Frizzen Spring stress cracks

So I bought a lock for my project.  When I was cleaning things up and inspecting I noted the frizzen spring has stress cracks. Send it back?

IMHO, that part should absolutely be returned.  Little excuse for that kind of oversite on the part of the manufacturer.

Are you sure it’s not just casting wrinkles?  I’d be tempted to see if it polishes out.

They are casting wrinkles, but still worth having it replaced by the manufacturer. I can't think of any lock maker that wouldn't swap it out for you.

Lack of inspection,plain and simple. Send it back and check the rest of the lock as well.
