latest blades

Finished this week a 1084 carbon steel, coal forge, hand filed, 8 5/8" x 3/16" x 1 1/4" blade, forged iron guard with file work, iron bolster, curly maple handle with aqua fortis, through tang with coin silver end cap, leather sheath hand sewn with waxed irish linen thread

Very nice looking knives!  I think the antler handled one is my favorite, though they are all really nice.

thank you Greg.  Funny but the antler handled blade is one I made for myself.  the antler was a gift from an old friend.

Gentlemen thanks for the kind words.

You are right it was a great week, fortunately I had an extra day off so I was able to do the finish work on the three knives that were forged, filed and hardened during the Thanksgiving weekend.
