My first horn

I was visiting my Dad and he thought some of you may be interested in my first horn. Tools used: pocket knife, small bastard file, round chainsaw file, coping saw, drill and hammer. Ground a nail down sharp to scratch the pattern and lettering in with. Rubbed charcoal into it from the wood stove so it doesn't show well. Gonna have to figure something else out for that. Used cedar from the wood pile for the plug and stopper. Got the horn from a junk shop. Three horns for $40.00. Old boot lace for the strap. I'll probably get poison oak on my neck :o Pretty crude but I'm kinda proud that it works. I'm going to start studying the old style of lettering because I think it looks classier than my scrawl. Holds about a quarter pound.

That’s a dandy! I’d be proud with that horn on my hip!
