Wasnt ecpecting it to come until Monday but it showed up Saturday. What an awesome kit! Im blown away by just how slim and balanced the rifle is. I started on gtting the tang settled into the mortise, used a small oil lamp to smoke the tang and breech. after about an hour of slowly shaving off high spots I came to realise i was being a bit carless when putting the tang in, causing soot to transfer in areas that didnt need material removed. So, the result is a couple small gaps...nothing glaring, but a definate lesson learned.
Anyway, the tang, lock, trigger plate, trigger guard, and butt plate are all fitted up. Just need to drill and tap the lock plate and trigger plate to tie them in solid. Hopefully that will get done tomorrow after work.
