Carlos Gove Pipe Hawk Finishing
« on: December 31, 2018, 03:33:06 AM »
I received a Carlos Gove Pipe hawk kit (handle drilled and head) unfinished, as a gift this Christmas.  I lack the experience, tools or time to turn this into a beautiful and working pipe hawk.  Are there any recommendations here for a maker or skilled artisan who could turn this into a nice pipe?  Thank you for any leads and tips.  Feel free to email me as well at dennyducet@gmail.com

Did you get any takers to finish your hawk? If not send me some pix of what you have and some notes on what you want done/layout/design so I can see what your looking for.

I have one of the TOW kits that a friend finished for me.  He did motly file work on the head to clean it up and then finished the handle. Simple and Plain for me.

Denny, search this section for tomahawks done by Tim Crosby.  He is quite modest, but his hawks are beautiful.  You wouldn't go wrong working with Tim.  Hope this helps.   God Bless,   Marc
