Fine East TN Style Rifle

I did not know he made any guns in that style.  I really like his Reading influenced pieces.  Heck, everything I've seen by him has been well done.

Guy,
I'm traveling this week and did not get a chance to check the blog this morning.  Wow!  Great gun.  Like you, I had no idea mark built Southern guns.   That's a beauty for sure.

I saw this gun before it was finished, his normal outstanding work.    He has done some of these before, with a tang that
went all the way down the comb.   His pistols are great, then he has done some of that early christian's spring stuff, in
addition to some great golden age guns.   I have also seen some modern guns he has stocked.....all I can say, "he's good".............Don

I also saw this gun, the day Don did.  The inleting of the tang was perfect.  I believe Mark forged all his own hardware on this one too.  Another great gun, I wish it was mine.

Really good looking Tenna. rifle. Mark can do anything well.  I'd like to do a couple of these  as well. Got a Bill Large Barrel with a roughed out lollypop tang. Not too heavy. And some Ian Pratt furniture. Sort of soothing once in a while not doing all that fancy stuff. Their work can be something to shoot for.

She's sweet for certain.    You will notice also how Mark 'rubbed back' the wear areas of the stock, cheek, wrist, forearm gives her the warm inviting look in lieu of that bland one colour look some have....!
