Jim,

It would be very helpful if you included in your next video a short demonstration of how you use tannic acid along with ferric nitrate since you sell both products.  Thanks.

Thank you - always great to see a video on a procedure or a technique, Pictures capture a moment in time, these videos help tell much more of the story. They are most appreciated.

Wow, Jim. This is quite helpful. Thank you. This and the other videos you have are the next best thing to being in the shop with a proficient builder. I had no idea it was the oil on top of the aqua fortis, not the AF itself, that gave the wood that beautiful pattern and color (new guy here).

I second moleeyes36 suggestion.

Jim,
Thank you, an excellent demonstration. Amazing how that piece of wood became art.

Excellent video. Is the tried and true varnish better than the permalyn sealer?

That's what I said on the comment section of the you-tube video.

X 3 Jim ....Thanks so much for doing these videos as I have a sense that you are uncomfortable with doing them. I can tell you as person viewing your videos you do a great job with them. The focus from the viewers perspective is not on video production quality, but the generous willingness to share information gained by experience.

The Permalyn is definetley more durable.  It's pretty much bullet proof.

Yeah, I'm I don't feel the most comfortable doing videos, but know they're a good thing.  We're really glad they help, though and will be doing more in the future.

Jim, you come across in the videos as someone who really knows their stuff.....which you do.  You are giving us all a gift of your knowledge, and you should think of it in that light as you do the videos.  We are all rooting for you on the receiving end.  I sure love this series of videos.  My thanks good sir.   God Bless,   Marc

Thanks for this video Jim.
Your videos are a big reason I chose your rifle over others.
You share your knowledge and take the mystery out of the process

Thanks Jim, I have a bottle of your iron nitrate.  Planning to use Tru-0il over it for my southern mountain kit. Your  video was very informative.

Thanks Jim, your videos have been wonderful for me as a new comer doing my first rifle!  I have a question about when to use this iron nitrate finish.  I can see using it on that beautiful curled maple stock you demonstrated on!  But would it "take away" from a detailed carving on the butt stock?  Would it be better to just use your choice of wood stain and an oil finish when you have a carving on the stock?  Perhaps someone can post a photo of the iron nitrate finish over their carving?

Thanks for sharing. As a newcomer to the forum I am doing a lot of research. Picture is worth a 1000 words.
Keep it up.
