I just wanted to pass on a bit of praise for Dave Rase and his work.
Knowing Dave now for many years and considering him a good friend, I am constantly impressed with the attention to detail he take in everything he does. Just this morning I was over at his shop picking up a piece of wood that he inletted a barrel into. He was finishing up drilling the ramrod hole and the detail he took in getting the hole just right, the steps he showed me that he takes to insure each barrel he inlets on his machine is perfect, and in just looking at many of the items Dave has made over they years is simply amazing.
As with any master craftsman, tools simply become an extension of the hands and a continual of a thought. Dave is detail focused and a true master at his craft. I am glad to call him a friend and to have the opportunity to watch him work.
