Re furbished muzzleloaders

Just finished fixing up an older 50 cal traditions muzzleloader.  Needed to refinish the stock and fix the lock. Also reblued the barrel.  I gave it to one of my buddies 11 year old son. Should have seen the smile. He really gets into hunting and shooting sports.  Now he is hooked on black powder smoke.     wildthing

Excellent!  Best idea for it, for certain.

I have a customer that regularly brings me basket cases that he picks up at yard sales and flea markets. CVAs, & TCs mostly flint. He started out outfitting his kids (now grown) moved to his nephews and nieces and now is working on a boy scout troop. He buys the parts, I do the fix and he knows what kind of scotch I like. All around a great arrangement.

It is fun to get kids into shooting.  The best way I know is to give them their own gun ,  then teach them to shoot and clean them . remember  to teach them about safety.    wildthing
