    My first attempt at recreating one of my favorite gorgets.This is a copy of a Joseph Richardson of Philadelphia work more than likely done in 1758.It's in the collection of the Pennsylvania Historical Society and done in sterling silver as was the original.

Another beautiful piece Mitch. You have talent!!

I'm curious to know, in what typical setting this Gorget might have been worn?
My limited knowledge is that they evolved from a military dress perspective, and were also used as trade gifts to important Native Americans.

Who wore these things in the period times? I assume it’s a frilly officer’s thing? Looks uncomfortable. Very nice work though!
