Wayne, I really like this beautiful rifle.  Super finishes.  Nice lines.   I'd like to shoot that one.  :-)

Mike, may I suggest that you add one of these photos to your website?  It would be very helpful to buyers to see the parts finished and in place on a rifle.  I think it would help show your fine work to be effect.

I am really pondering travelling to Iowa just to watch you work for a day.  That $150 sounds more than reasonable.  I sure enjoyed the video they made on you and your art.

God Bless,  Marc

Thank you for the kind words!
You know, that gun is looking for a home! That’s a 13/16” 40 cal Douglas barrel with a Brooks engraved Chambers Late Ketland and Davis triggers. 14” trigger pull. I work cheap!!!

I believe that it’s an Armstrong buttplate. Not one of Mikes castings. TOW will probably have it.

Wayne, sadly kids in college take precedence over expenditures I'd like to make.  That said, I sure do like your work on that rifle.  God Bless,   Marc

I just got some of Mike's castings in Saturdays mail.  The castings will need some cleanup, as all sand castings do but I see no porosities or areas where the brass did not flow.  I cleaned up a buttplate yesterday and the brass was clean and pure with no hard spots.  The triggerguard was malleable and easily bent to conform to the stock architecture.  Great stuff Mike!
