A Couple Turkey Calls
« on: March 22, 2019, 07:14:06 PM »
Haven't done any of these in awhile. They are about 6" long, the bell is Cow horn tip on both, the mouth pieces are bone. They are threaded 5/16-18NC so they can be carried easier. Made up a little bag for one.

I like them a lot Tim.

Also like the small bag to pack in.

Very Nice!

Pretty cool. How do they sound compared to a typical wing one call?

About the same, I have called a few up with them but prefer a box call.

Those look great, and making them thread together is brilliant!  I like the pouch too.  I’ve struggled with how to carry the ones I’ve made, and decided on a sheath like a neck knife, I think.

Every time I open one of your posts I find something else I just have to try... :o !

Neat calls, Tim. I've done lot of wingbone and box calls over the years, but I've never turned one. These look great.

Here is a Pic of the original, a guy brought it by my table at the Xenia trade fair some years ago.
