Question re. the Lowell Haarer ghost ring rear sight?
« on: March 30, 2019, 03:16:19 AM »
To those shooters that have installed one of Mr. Haarer's ghost ring sights on your rifle.....

1. Is the sight hardened and tempered, or is it left soft and bendable? In other words can it be bent upwards or downwards for minor elevation changes?

2. In the images it appears to be installed under the tang bolt. Is this correct? If so, then I am guessing that a longer tang bolt is required?

3. How large is the aperture as supplied by Mr. Haarer?

4. How accurate do you find the sight to be?

5. Any other thoughts that you might have on the sight?

Thanks,

All of my muzzleloaders will shoot into one ragged hole ALL DAY LONG ... it's just the 2nd or 3rd & other shots that tend to open up my groups ... !

Just ordered 5 of these. Have some testing to do this summer.
