Joe Schell. He builds a good solid gun for the money

He builds a good gun for any money, he ought to be charging 2X what he gets.

Lowell Haarer. Anything from extra detailed to his line of "Sparkey's Nothing Fancy". I have a matching set of rifle and pistol coming soon. Both in .54 caliber. Great guy, great builder and a man of God. www.lowellhaarer.com or lmhaarer@gmail.com or (540) 833-4985.

Hi Nessmuck,
For New England try Ed Parry (www.blackhartlongarms.com), our own Eric von Aschwege (www.vonaschwegeflintlocks.com) will be setting up shop this spring in MA.  Also in MA is Jon Ryder (www.kingsburyarms.com).  Our own Acer Saccharum (www.tcurran.com) is not far away in upstate NY.   There is also Mitch Yates (www.mitchyatesgunmaker) in NY.   I am in Vermont but have a pretty big queue of work to wade through before taking on new work.

Followup on Lowell Haarer: He was the featured artist in the July/August issue of Muzzleloader magazine. If you don't subscribe to it you should. Bet you know someone who does.

I'm glad I wasn't the one to ask. ;)

What ever it is I'll build it for ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS. I seem to be stuck on that price  for every thing today. ???

Wouldn't Flintah refer to the one pulling the trigger on a flintlock rifle? ;) We call them guns here in Iowa, unless you're  a mountain man, then they're called smoke poles. But we don't have many mountain men because we're a little short on mountains. ;D

Hi,
If a bunch of you want to write posts with lots of "you alls", "fellers", and "I seen"s, we New Englanders can write "flintah", "eh", "eyup", "baahn", "lobstaa" and use phrases like "quickah than green caahn thru the new maid" or "smoothah than a pane of glass and shahpa than a broken shahd".

Ya sure Smylee, that's a hoot! Makes me think of those jello salads with the little marshmallows along with the lutefisk.  Lutefisk is best with a lot of butter.

My daughter graduated from Ohio State.  Are you sure that professor really didn't speak that way?

My Dad speaks of  Lutfisk and how they made it. You take some dried fish soak it and nail it on a board. After a couple days you throw away the fish and eat the board.

;D That might be right Ken but you still need a lot of butter.  ;D Actually if the stuff is fairly fresh and you plug your nose and use the copious amounts of butter it tastes OK, er buttery,

That would be "THE" Ohio State University, vs. "Thuh" Ohio University. .....(ducks and runs) ::).
My Granddaughter is an OSU/ATI grad , in 'Cow punchin'"  ;)
