This one is after a horn on pages 70-71 of Jay Hopkins' book
Bone Tipped & Banded Horns. It is thought to be of Virginia origin.
It is about 14" around the out side curve, tip-to-tip it is about 12. The Walnut butt is about 2 2/4", it is held in place by the same Four Steel pins that hold the base band in place. A Brass furniture pull is used for thee strap finial. The collar is a press fit, the horn and tip are both threaded 5/8-11, the tip is also of Horn. Finish is AF followed by a coat of Saddle Brown leather dye and Brown shoe polish.
