Just received Roger's entry at noon today - 1/2 hour ago = postmarked 13 June. Guess that's why they call it Snail-Mail. That's 4 entries but the prizes will be smal without more entries. The cash sent in is sent back to the first 3 plus the closest to the centre, same as last year. Com-on guys - send in the entries.
BTW- did some practise yesterday - not happy
as it took 3 shots to zero in on an 8"
steel plate at a lasered 232yards
. the 8" and 4" plates at 109 yards were pretty easy. Humidity about 30% - bright white fouling on the outside of the barrels, .40 flint and .69 caplock - no wiping necessary. Ask me if I'm happy to have the 14 bore back.
Would have been easier, except the powder's changed a bit since 1996.
