English shotgun ready to shoot!!

It's actually looking like a gun!! It still needs work, but it's rough and ready for the shotgun shoots at rendezvous next week. I'll finish the wood, and polish and maybe engrave the metal over winter when I have more time.  It should be a good bird getter with the 20 ga barrel, and drop any bear/elk/moose with the .62 rifle barrel.

I haven't shot it yet, but I'm taking it out in a couple hours to test it.

Thanks guys. I think I'm gonna go with Danish oil finish and maybe tung oil or Tru oil as a final coat. Here's the Danish oil on a scrap piece of the stock. I may play around with some other stains and finishes I have, to see what I like best.

Try the Old English Traditional finish that the Double Gun Journal people sell. It's Red Root oil with a hardener. Best finish I've ever used.
